Elisa Overall, who also goes by “Emo,” has dedicated her career to issues of equity and justice. In March of 2021 she was selected as the first-ever Executive Director to the Colorado Access to Justice Commission.

 

Previously Ms. Overall worked as court-appointed counsel in criminal appeals. She also lived and worked in southwest Colorado, directing nonprofit and grant work to support the region’s immigrant communities.

 

Ms. Overall is a 2014 alum of the Latino Leadership Institute, and has served on the board of RISE Colorado since 2015.

​

Ms. Overall and her husband have two small children and a boston terrier, and spend most of their free time picking up trails of toys.

 

She earned her B.A. from Stanford University and J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Director of Rural Legal Services

Jason Roberts has spent his career working to create resources and opportunities in marginalized communities. He is a recent graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While in law school he connected with the Colorado Access to Justice Commission to support the work of creating greater justice in the state of Colorado.

 

Prior to attending law school Jason connected with students and families in a diverse and underserved community in Houston TX. While there, he helped found and served as Executive Director of Family Point Resources, a nonprofit organization focused on engaging neighbors in supportive relationships.

 

Jason has two amazing children and an incredibly loving and supportive wife. He enjoys spending as much time as possible exploring Colorado and beyond with them.

 

Jason received a B.A. from the University of Colorado, a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama, and a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Director of Pro Bono Support

Brett Landis (she/her/hers) is the Director of the Pro Bono Resource Center.  She was the Managing Attorney for Colorado Legal Services, Boulder Office from 2016-2024.  She previously has worked in private practice at Warren, Carlson, & Moore in Niwot, CO.  She worked for Legal Aid Services of Oregon for six years providing holistic civil legal services to rural survivors of domestic violence. 

 

Brett completed a postgraduate fellowship with the Survivors Justice Center (formerly the Domestic Violence Clinic at Lane County Legal Aid Center) after graduating from the University of Oregon, School of Law. 

 

She served on the Boulder County Bar Associations board of directors from 2018-2023, and she was President of the Board from 2021-2022.  She has served on the Colorado Bar Association’s Leadership Selection Committee from 2022-2024.  She has tried cases in Colorado and Oregon and actively engages in community access to justice efforts. 

 

Ms. Landis grew up in Eastern Colorado and currently lives on the Front Range.  When not working, she performs in community theater with her husband and cares for her two border collie mix dogs.

Virtual Pro-Se Clinic
Legal Facilitator

Eileen Webster is the Legal Facilitator for the Colorado Access to Justice Commission’s Virtual Pro-Se Clinic (VPC). She runs the VPC and trains volunteer attorneys. She is a devoted attorney dedicated to serving the needs of rural communities. Originally from Philadelphia, Eileen found her home in Durango, Colorado. Since graduating from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, she has contributed her time and energy to numerous public service organizations in Colorado. This has included serving as legal counsel to children and youth, empowering and promoting healthy families.

Before law school, Eileen attended the University of Scranton where she played NCAA basketball. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in political science. She also received her General Management Certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Afterwards, Eileen worked as a Teacher and Assistant Principal at a middle school for over five years. Subsequently, she served as a bilingual advocate for the Community Legal Aid Society in Wilmington, Delaware, and Lutheran Family Services in Denver, Colorado.

​

During law school, Eileen gained valuable experience while interning for Colorado Legal Services, the Federal Pro Se Clinic, Project Safeguard, the Honorable Ann Meinster of the 1st Judicial District, and the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Fraud Unit. 

​

After law school, Eileen worked as a staff attorney for Colorado Medical-Legal Partnership. In 2021, she started Webster Advocacy LLC, lending her strengths to various organizations such as Office of the Child Representative, Project Safeguard, Alpine Legal Services, and Alternative Horizons.
